Uma das novelas indicadas para o Hugo Awards de 2012 chama-se Among Others, eu acabo de terminar de ler e abaixo segue minha opiniao.

Acabei de saber que Among Others foi o vencedor do Hugo Awards deste ano, meus parabéns a Jo Walton…
Mas preciso reinterar minha opinião aqui, não gostei do livro:
- o universo de fantasia criado é fraco e não tem nada de original na minha opinião;
- o foco do livro não parece ser a magia, ou os entes mágicos, mas sim a vida de Mor, personagem tratado com bastante profundidade;
- no livro são citados centenas de outros livros de ficção científica e fantasia, mas na minha opinião isso não contribui para a evolução da história, as vezes até chega a ser chato.
Opinião é opinião, cada um tem a sua…sei que a minha inclusive é a minoria quando comparo com uma boa quantidade de reviews, mas como isso aqui é um blog achei legal enfatizar meu ponto de vista 🙂 Abraços!

E a protagonista do livro, tem por volta de 15 anos, e louca por Sci-Fi e como disse anteriomente ve fadas e faz magica. E extremamente etica e tem “problemas familiares” que vao ser mostrados durante sua leitura. Em entrevista, a autora diz que muito daquilo que e descrito em Mor tem um toque autobiografico.

Jo Walton nasceu em 64 no Pais de Gales, e escritora e tem alguns premios literarios por obras em sci-fi e literatura fantastica. A cidade onde nasceu e a mesma de origem da protagonista de Among Others, nao por coincidencia.
